What drew you and your business to this location?

“We loved a lot of things about 171 Queens that led us to making it home of the first 2SLGBTQIA+ community centre in London Ontario.  The central location, its accessibility, ease of access to bus routes, friendly staff and is not too far away for anyone in the city. 171 Queens was the perfect spot for us!.”

Custom space design can be quite an experience. Can you describe your experience in designing/building your business roots here?

“We didn’t require any custom design but the building staff have been incredibly helpful getting us settled in to the space and are always eager to help.”

How do you feel your expertise will service the community as you grow to be a community partner?

“Queer Intersections’ (QX) is a registered nonprofit that provides a safe and inclusive community hub for the Two Spirit LGBTQIA+/Rainbow community. We strive to educate the community on Two Spirit LGBTQIA+/Rainbow topics while maintaining a positive relationship with the community. Our focus includes but is not limited to the promotion of health, wellness and expression/exploration for individuals across the lifespan from youth to seniors in the Two Spirit LGBTQIA+/Rainbow community. We strive to build community partnerships and learn about existing resources to better support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.”

In choosing your location, how has Sifton supported you in establishing a trusting relationship?

“Currently, QX is 100% run by volunteers and scheduling can be a bit difficult. The staff at Sifton has been incredibly accommodating, nice and helpful in answering our questions. We are happy that we chose a Sifton property as our location for growing our community centre.”
